Book to read

Fashion Babylon, the essential fashion literature accessory by Imogen Edwards-Jones's. After the successes of her previous ‘exposes:’ Hotel Babylon and Air Babylon, Fashion Babylon promises to get under the skin of the fashion industry." Not a sole effort, it is co-written by anonymous contributors – an eclectic and wide ensemble of fashion industry insiders, which undoubtedly provides authenticity.
I was told that this book was a must read for anyone interested in working in the fashion industry!
I have found it to be an amusing and useful window into the fashion industry, exposing secrets and allows the reader a voyeuristic experience into the world's most glamorous industry.

It follows six months in the life of a fictional designer's life starting with the morning after one of her shows. The tale follows a designer and her business partner Alexander, seamstress Dorota and stylist Mimi as they create a collection the only way they know how - on a diet of champagne, cocaine, cigarettes, and coffee, coffee, coffee.
You are provided with tips about where to find fashion stuff, dining etiquette with anorexic models - one bite and then a cigarette to quell the hunger pangs. It tells about how collections are put together, who's who in the fashion industry – the big players - after-parties, loads of things you need to know about the industry and much more!

I read this book in three days, it was so funny and interesting for me – not totally flippant as you might expect – there are some deep aspects to it.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone – even if not in the fashion industry.
